Tunnel Vision

We have all come into contact with people who suffer from tunnel vision. Perhaps they’re focused on success, money, or winning. These people do not look at the big picture. They are blinded by greed, motivated by moving up, or obsessed with being #1.

It’s unfortunate when people have tunnel vision because they’re missing out. Perhaps they’re skipping their child’s hockey game to work late, stepping on others to make it to the top, or becoming so career focused that they forget to have a social life. It’s important to keep in mind what is truly important in life. These things are usually priceless.

I often wonder if those with tunnel vision ever snap out of it. Maybe a life changing event makes them see more clearly? Although it shouldn’t take a tragedy or life altering circumstance for people to realize what really matters in life.
