It’s Wednesday and you’re nearing the weekend! Often times we are too hard on ourselves, we need to lighten up. Life’s too short, be happy with where you are and what you’ve accomplished rather than focusing your energy on what’s gone wrong, or what hasn’t gone as planned. Here’s a secret, life never goes as planned.
Here are some lovely quotes to make you smile on this picturesque sunny day!
This past weekend was Victoria Day in Canada! The man and I road tripped to visit my older brother and his girlfriend. My future mother-in-law looked after not one, but two German Shepherds while we were away. My brother and his darling girlfriend have an annual weekend long 2-4 party with all their friends. The guys go golfing and the girls drink or shop all day. It’s probably one of my favourite weekends of the year! We were so lucky to have gorgeous weather this year and shockingly enough, no rain!
We’ve been looking after my parent’s dog, Cruze, while they’re away on vacation. We’ve had her for two weeks and Ellie loves spending time with her. Cruze is a bit younger than Ellie and has trouble sleeping through the night. I got a glimpse as to what having a newborn will be like as Cruze is up a couple times each night to be let outside. Last night she really got herself into trouble as she decided to chew my most expensive pair of heels while I was fast asleep. I woke up to her being scolded and figured she might have chewed one of the King’s sneakers. Of course not, she ate a pair of heels I bought in Chicago and are no longer made. There are bigger problems in life, so I’m not too upset about it, however she has tons of toys to chew on before resorting to my pumps! We’re lucky that Ellie is not a chewer! Earlier in the day yesterday Cruzey took advantage of our friend grabbing a napkin and she hopped up and ate the pizza off his plate. I couldn’t help but laugh but he was by no means impressed. She’s too damn cute to stay angry at.
One thing I’ve really noticed is how much calmer Ellie is by having a companion around. Her separation anxiety hasn’t been nearly as bad as she’s not as lonely when we go out. I know she’s going to miss Cruze, and if it were the right time or if we had more space we would get her a friend. Having Ellie keeps us very busy as is!

I’m so excited to announce that I am now a Stella & Dot Stylist! For those of you who have never heard of Stella & Dot, it is a San Francisco Jewellery and Accessories Company. Not only does Stella & Dot provide stunning jewels, they offer trendy bags, wallets, scarves, and more to keep you looking stylish and fashionable.
What attracted me to Stella & Dot was of course the jewellery, but also the flexibility and social aspects that come along with the job. I can work around my schedule and work when I want and where I want. The initial investment was minimal, and rather than have to constantly invest more and more funds into a business, I only have to update my trunk a few times a year which is also cost friendly. It’s a great opportunity to make additional income while enjoying the many perks Stella & Dot has to offer. If you’re interested in becoming a Stella & Dot stylist or have questions about joining please comment below or contact me through my website at: www.stelladot.com/karamma
I love jewellery as much as the next girl! I also understand the importance of buying quality pieces that will last! There is nothing more frustrating then having your favourite bracelet or necklace break on you or stain your skin. Of course when a ring left a green ring around my finger I would chuck it in the trash immediately. Stella & Dot’s collections use materials such as semi-precious stones, resins, crystals, glass, 0.925 sterling silver, bronze, 12 karat gold vermeil, as well as hand painted enamel. These quality materials aid in providing you with stunning pieces that will last.

I admire people who run without music. First of all, I cannot wrap my head around how they do it. I need music to keep me on pace, keep me motivated, and keep me moving! I’ve tried running without music, but my thoughts immediately go to the tightness in my calves, my bad ankle acting up, or the burning in my legs. This is extremely distracting. However, with music, I can focus on the lyrics and the rhythm in order to keep me distracted.
Just to clarify, like most runners, I’m not jogging along to country roads, I need fast, upbeat, and quick tempo music to keep me running along.
Here is my current Spring 2015 Running Playlist:
1.Far East Movement- Bang It To The Curb

Happy Running! 🙂
This week has been rather hectic! Now that the sun is here to stay (fingers crossed), I’ve been spring cleaning the house from the outside-in. I’m also getting back into my running routine considering my 15km race is quickly approaching! Myself, my brother’s girlfriend, and three of my best friends are doing the Nike Women’s 15km Race in Toronto in June. Considering the furthest race I’ve done was 10km, I best get back into the swing of things. Otherwise, someone will be piggy backing me to the finish line. Any takers?
I’ve been working adamantly to eat clean as it will be bathing suit season before we know it (joy to the world). I went to Canadian Tire and these adorable little girls approached me asking “do you want to buy girl guide cookies,” and I thought yes but my waistline doesn’t. I try to always support the community in whatever way I can so of course I bought a box, I’m just hoping my boyfriend will eat them all so I’m not tempted :). Mint chocolate is my weakness.
